Kneehill
Kneehill County is a progressive rural municipality comprised of approximately 814,653 acres of land and a population of 5,000 residents.
Within the Kneehill County boundaries are the Towns of Three Hills (Population 3,500) and Trochu (Population 1,200), the Villages of Acme, Carbon, and Linden, and four hamlets (Torrington, Huxley, Swalwell, and Wimborne), with a trade area of over 11,000 people.
In total, approximately 150 properties are sold through MLS in the whole county each year. Many of the communities within Kneehill welcome new people offering to sell vacant building lots for basically the cost to service them. Typical lots sell anywhere from $20,000 to $90,000. If you are looking for affordable living, you can find a decent home for under $200,000. The most expensive home sold in 2025 was a custom built 2000 ft ft bungalow on 21 acres, 10 min outside of Drumheller on the eastern edge of Kneehill County, on town water and included a 32×64 heated shop. It sold for $907,500.
